About Kirsty Maddison

I come from four generations of health practitioners and naturopaths and I am passionate about helping people improve their health, happiness and wellbeing.

Health and vitality for me are about the connection between our mind, body and spirit working harmoniously together.

Sometimes we feel stuck, in pain or out of balance, and massage and touch therapies can help uncover the root cause of the imbalance allowing us to feel whole, healthy and well again.

But massage and hands on therapies aren't just for reducing pain and tension in the body.

They also powerfully help to clear the mind, let go of anxiety and give us a feeling of space for ourselves.

Clients love coming into my treatment room and feeling the calm atmosphere, escaping the usual pressures and stresses of daily life.

I work with a wide range of aromatherapy oils, in almost all of my treatments, to help enhance the relaxation and power of the treatment.

I offer a supportive space for people to relax, talk if they want to talk or ‘zone out’ in their own way.

I offer a very flexible approach as I understand that people come to me for a very wide range of reasons, including:

I graduated in 2002 from St Andrews University with an M.A. in Philosophy.

I trained in Holistic Therapy at North Metropolitan College, studying a wide range of massage and complementary therapies, including advanced techniques in body massage and reflexology.

I’m a Reiki II practitioner, qualified as a specialist in Maternity and Fertility Reflexology and a qualified teacher with a Diploma for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and a trained Beauty Therapist.

I have recently qualified in Health Kinesiology (also known as Natural Bioenergetics) and am excited to now be able to offer this treatment to help clients relax, recharge and rebalance their physical, mental and emotional health. For more information please go to https://hk-uk.co.uk/

I am a fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and a member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists.

The Westoe Practice is a Health and Wellbeing centre located in South Shields, Tyne and Wear. Combining Western and Eastern practices, the Westoe Practice believe in a holistic approach to wellbeing and offer advice and treatments that you need to realise and sustain the best health possible.

The Westoe Practice is made up of a team of highly skilled, qualified therapists whose goal is to help you with your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, whether it be spinal problems, sore feet, digestive issues or anxiety or unresolved emotional problems – we’ll do what we can to help.
